Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which is  provided by Vita Health Group, is available to help make life easier, whether the issue is personal or work-related.

You can contact the EAP helpline on their free 24-hour phone number 0800 111 6387.
The Helpline will be answered by a qualified advisor/counsellor who will talk through your reasons for calling and offer information, advice, emotional support and signposting.

It will provide an opportunity to talk with a trained and experienced person whose objectivity can help you understand both yourself and your situation in a new light. They offer empathic support and realistic encouragement as you try to find better ways to cope with and come to terms with what is troubling you.  You can get in touch for any issues that affect your day-to-day life such as;

  • work issues
  • health
  • debt
  • bereavement

A confidential service

Vita Health is not part of NLC, it is an independent organisation that provides our Employee Assistance Programme.

The supports offered by Vita Health Group are confidential; that means the content of anything discussed remains between the NLC employee and Vita Health.  All information you provide to your counsellor will be kept confidential unless there is serious risk of harm to yourself or others.

The online wellbeing hub my-EAP has self-help support, articles, videos, podcasts and health assessments on a range of issues such as health and wellbeing, emotional/personal, homelife, work/career, legal and money worries.

Support for managers

In addition to providing assistance to individual employees who are struggling, managers can use the EAP service to get support, guidance and advice related to managing and assisting their team members.  The managers section on the online wellbeing hub my-EAP can be accessed here using the access code NLCWELL
